“It was natural for the Carrefour Jeunesse emploi Memphrémagog to partner up with the Villa Pierrot from the start as both of their missions overlap. At the CJE, we are dedicated to helping young people aged 16 to 35 to pursue a job or studies, which is also a part of the life project of mothers at the Villa Pierrot. The Villa Pierrot is a place of compassion that houses mothers without judgment and helps them towards independence. Over the years, we have witnessed a great number of mothers evolve, get an education, and find a job that met their aspirations while developing multiple social and parenting skills. Congratulations on your great work!

“Since the very beginnings of the Villa Pierrot in 2009, the Caisse Desjardins du Lac-Memphrémagog answered the call to support single mothers in need. In life, the challenges or adversities ahead are not always up to us. However, the attitude and energy we apply to them is our choice. When a young mother is willing to take charge of her life and that of her children, and she knows that she would need a hand to succeed, we must answer the call. It is not only up to Desjardins as a socioeconomic leader in its community to do something, but also every local stakeholder who knows that a healthy community is one where people take care of each other. Through our Community Development Fund, we are able to support the Villa Pierrot year after year. Thank you to our members who have elected to return part of the Caisse’s surplus into this fund as collective dividends. Congratulations to the young mothers for their determination and thanks to all the partners, volunteers, and the Villa Pierrot team: You are the driving force of our community.
