PERSONAL ACCOUNT FROM VOLUNTEERS

“When we moved from Montreal to Magog, I thought that volunteering would be a great way to get to know our new community. I then started to look for local community organizations. I stumbled upon the Villa Pierrot website. The organization’s mission appealed to me; helping young mothers who want to mobilize themselves for their studies, professional life, and children. I also felt like helping those young mothers who were determined to succeed. Taking the time to go to the Villa and being available to families is gratifying and invigorating. The girls and children are always happy to see us and we feel that our help is appreciated and beneficial. Whether simply having a discussion, providing tips for studies, laughing out loud while eating soup together, or spending time to play with the young ones, I always feel like I am welcome at the Villa and truly helping.
